🌿 July at The Green Desk: Rebirth & Roots

July is the soft midpoint of the year — sun high, soil warm, pages half-filled. It’s a time to pause and ask:
✨ What have I planted?
✨ What’s still asking to bloom?
✨ Where do I need to root more deeply?
This month at The Green Desk, our theme is Rebirth & Roots. Together we will be exploring what it means to begin again — not with pressure, but with presence. To return to the page, the garden, the ritual, with gentleness. To write and read like it’s the first time.
Or the last.
Or both.
✏️ In Our Writing Practice
We'll be returning to the basics:
Weekly poetry prompts that ground us in memory, body, and earth
Journal invitations like: What part of you is ready to re-emerge?
Reflections from my own notebooks — where I’m rewriting, restarting, and rooting deeper into my voice
You don’t need a plan to write. Just a place to begin. This month, that place is here.
📚 In Our Read-Along Series
We're featuring stories about:
Starting over
Growing slowly
Rerooting after change
Reclaiming softness and strength through story
Whether it's a picture book or a powerful poem, every selection this month is about renewal. About naming what matters. About finding home again in language.
🌱 In the Garden & Daily Rituals
Rebirth isn’t just metaphor. It’s practice. So we’ll also be sharing:
Self-care rituals for slow mornings & sun-soaked evenings
Garden notes: What’s blooming? What’s bolting? What needs rest?
Moon-based journaling & seasonal reflections to mark this midpoint gently.
Rebirth doesn’t always look like big change. Sometimes, it’s making tea and opening the window.
Let’s begin again — softly, slowly, from the root.
